I offer programs to individuals, athletes, children and families. Each program is personalized to the specific goals of the individual.My office is in Barrington, RI and appointments can be made by emailing claire@clairemoscropnutrition.com.

Individual Wellness

My Individual Wellness program is designed to meet the needs of the individual person, taking into account their personal goals, lifestyle and food preferences. The program will be tailored to the individual but can include the following :

  • ·       Guidance on a healthy core diet
  • ·       Discussion of progress, recommendations and session notes
  • ·       Recommendations on food tailored to meet the personal goals of the individual
  • ·       Information on the health benefits of food, macro and micro-nutrient education materials
  •       Identification of food allergies and sensitivities, personalized diet plan to deal with results of sensitivity and allergy testing
  • ·       Pantry assessment, cooking and shopping advice where necessary
  • ·       Advice on planning healthy meals and snacks within today’s busy lifestyles
 The program consists of a series of 6 consultation meetings. In addition, there will be an initial, complimentary consultation to gather information and discuss specific contents of the program. 
 

Athletes Program
My Athletes program is designed to meet the needs of the individual athlete, taking into account their personal goals, training and competition schedule. The program will include the following:

  • ·       Guidance on Core Diet
  • ·       Daily caloric suggestions split by macro-nutrient relevant to the Athlete’s personal goals
  • ·       Pre and Post Workout suggestions
  • ·       Pre and Post Competition / Game / Race suggestions
  • ·       Body Composition Analysis       
 The program consists of a series of 3 consultation meetings to provide and discuss the material above. In addition, three body composition measurements will be taken in order to assess progress towards the Athlete’s personal goals. 

Family Program

My Family Meal Planning program is designed to meet the needs of the individual family, taking into account their personal goals, lifestyle and food preferences. The program will include the following:

  • ·       Guidance on a healthy core diet
  • ·       A month’s worth of family friendly dinner recipes
  • ·       Tips on bulk cooking, efficient cooking and food storage
  • ·       Information on the health benefits of food
  • ·       Tips for eating with children
  • ·       Pantry assessment
  • ·       Advice on planning healthy meals and snacks within today’s busy lifestyles
 The program consists of a series of 3 consultation meetings to provide and discuss the material above. In addition, there will be an initial, free consultation to gather information and discuss specific contents of the program. 


Children's Healthy Cooking Classes

Good nutrition can start at an early age and what better way to teach children about good eating habits and healthy choices than through a hands-on, fun cooking program designed specifically for their age group. Most children’s cooking classes are focused on cupcakes and cookies but children can still enjoy cooking and learning about nutrition without sugar-laden treats.

        The programs offered by Claire Moscrop Nutrition are themed to appeal to children but include education on topics such as :

  •      The basics of nutrition
  • ·       Cooking skills
  • ·       Lessons in table etiquette
  • ·       Farm to table and organic food
  • ·       How to read nutrition labels
  • ·       What to look for in the ingredients list

I currently offer nutritious cooking classes at the Montessori Centre of Barrington and The Lincoln School, The classes at Lincoln School in Providence are open to the public. I also offer classes at Hope & Main in Warren, the details for these classes are shown on the "shop' page of the website and are advertised by both my newsletter and the newsletter from Hope & Main. In addition I offer "Playdates with a Purpose" , an innovative approach that enables kids to learn about healthy eating, try new foods and flavors and learn to cook whilst having fun with their friends. Claire will come to your house and run a healthy, hands-on cooking session for up to 5 children. The one-hour session includes education materials, the cooking and sampling of a healthy snack and recipes to take home.
