The program consists of a series of 3 consultation meetings to provide and discuss the material above. In addition, there will be an initial, free consultation to gather information and discuss specific contents of the program.
Children's Healthy Cooking Classes
Good nutrition can start at an early age and what better way to teach children about good eating habits and healthy choices than through a hands-on, fun cooking program designed specifically for their age group. Most children’s cooking classes are focused on cupcakes and cookies but children can still enjoy cooking and learning about nutrition without sugar-laden treats.
I currently offer nutritious cooking classes at the Montessori Centre of Barrington and The Lincoln School, The classes at Lincoln School in Providence are open to the public. I also offer classes at Hope & Main in Warren, the details for these classes are shown on the "shop' page of the website and are advertised by both my newsletter and the newsletter from Hope & Main. In addition I offer "Playdates with a Purpose" , an innovative approach that enables kids to learn about healthy eating, try new foods and flavors and learn to cook whilst having fun with their friends. Claire will come to your house and run a healthy, hands-on cooking session for up to 5 children. The one-hour session includes education materials, the cooking and sampling of a healthy snack and recipes to take home.
